Linoleum is a smooth sheet material made from Sawdust Linseed oil and pine resin pressed onto a hessian back. Linoleum is not used as often anymore and has been largely replaced by vinyl flooring.
The benefits of linoleum are that it has better fire resistance than vinyl and it is more environmentally friendly because it's biodegradable. Its water resistance makes it very easy to maintain. Linoleum also comes in many different colours and designs and can be easily joined meaning you can make designs and patterns in it.
